BRÈVE HISTORIQUE & MUSICIENS Electric Light Orchestra est un groupe Britanique ayant eu pour particularité lors de ses débuts, l'ajout d'instruments à cordes (Violon, Violoncelle...). Instruments ecartés par la suite, à la fin des années '70, au profit des synthétiseurs Jeff Lynne, chanteur jouant guitares et claviers, est le leader du Groupe. Les premiers albums empruntent à des horizons musicaux très larges. Cela va du Rock'n'Roll au Classique Symphonique ! C'est à partir de 1975 et l'album "Face the music" qu' E.L.O. trouve le style qui va apporter une dimension internationnale au groupe avec des morceaux faits pour fonctionner à la Radio. Sur cette lancée, lors des années suivantes, seront produits des albums qui vont ravir les fans de l'époque ! "A new World Record" ainsi que le double album "Out of the Blue" sont des disques qu'il faut connaître... En 1979, les choses changent avec "Discovery" : Rythmes "Disco" et apparitions des synthés vont permettrent à un plus large public encore de découvrir un groupe qui est au sommet de sa gloire..!
